YUXIAN SHUNIKAIA NAWAYA – PAJÉS (SHAMANS)

Proposal of the council of the medicine men.

The preservation and the strengthen of the culture and the wisdom that our people, Huni Kuin, keeps alive since our first ancestral ones, this experience of thousand of years living in the heart of the forest, in total connexion with the nature, is our bigger concern.

The idea is to make as in the old times: to join all the wise men that still know, and to understand their explanations, to learn with them. For this, we would like to have again ours traditional kupixawa (ceremonial hut), in three places: in the high and low Jordão and in the Seringal Independence.

In the kupixawa we will have the education, pratice and the recover of our ancestral cience and rituals.

The old sages will take care of this task, with the support of the younger. The students will be able to follow the teachings and graduate in the field of knowledge that they have ability: arts, painting, medicine, nixi pae, dances and ceremonies, our traditional way of live and take care of our spirit. We will keep this knowledge alive and share with you.
